In Malta. A rare and fine pair of large early 19th century prints , with colouring / tinting on and around the margins of the actual original print. . With 19th century frames. Both frames with original old ‘ ripple’ glass which MAY preced the existing frames. The wood and gesso frames have a painted gold coloured finish.The frames bear 20th century wood effect gallery plaques to identify each print. One print depicts the port of Naples , the other a fortified walled port of Cadiz Cadice. Historical repair , pest/worm damage , fading , rippling .
