Non pile RUG mat carpet SUITABLE AS A WALL HANGING TAPESTRY colourful flat-weave
In Malta. An antique flatweave hand-made-loomed carpet rug. Suitable for easy /level wall hanging as a tapestry [ by way of non-sagging gripper-rod ] . The rug has good colours and small detailed pattern. Probably Turkish or from far further East the rug dates from circa 1970-1990. It has some holes. Strings at one end. Camels , birds , peacocks? and geometric patterns. Pleasing even wear , with muted colours. With pattern facing one way , this is probably a prayer rug , made for export market.
