Mid 19th C. Venetian Antique Polychrome Blackamoor , PAIR opposing gondola painted Blackamoors
Wood carcass , gesso and painted finish. Iridescent colours including gold and silver colours. Missing oar , chipped fingers , damaged arm and unlevel platform. Wear. Porphyry effect plinths with wood claw feet. Rare small size , relatively early. Useful as an alternative to a conventional bronze . SEE VIDEO
