In Malta . A pair of Italian probably Neapolitan school oils on canvas. Circa 1880 with aesthetically strong , full real gold leaf frames , water gilded to a full metal sheen , with scraffito decoration and punchwork border and panel fill. Pine frames with gesso and red bole. Both ‘ Gallant and Lady/lover scenes ‘. These pictures are one step above tourist quality , the frames are particularly fine.
