DAUM chevron vase FRENCH

UK - Collection Only

DAUM LORRAINE cross ART DECO V chevron flared vase FRENCH green GLASS France

Wear , dirt . Inherent colouring and firing defects / flaws , including bubbles , crust / lumps . Scratching and possible nibbling of base rim. No cracks , chips or hairlines ,other than a hardly visible micro chip/nibble on rim.A clean crisp vibrant limey green colour. Quite robust ,heavy and chunky. I would estimate date at 1925 as a guess. The base appears to have a ground off pontil mark suggesting it was blown. The chevrons are sunken into the glass with a frosted/chipped effect. This texture is rounded and soft to the touch not sharp. I do not know if these sunken areas were hand cut out or if the glass was blown inside a mould /or somehow the marks were impressed. The insides of the vase are smooth. The plinth has flat sides ,perhaps ground flat using a wheel. There is a tiny bubble in the base and one in the side, and a flaw [ in pictures]
