Circa 1860 ; Early to mid Victorian English or continental picture frame , holding a modern mirror. Modern mirror is backed with old pine back boards. Pine frame with swept sides and moulded applied gesso. A black painted finish , rubbed and worn in pleasing distressed state. The inner frame is water gilded with real gold leaf , under a shellac dulling coating.
