ITEM for sale ; 1 x green marble topped commode.’ Alexandria’ FRENCH STYLE mini commode chest C. 1950 SMALL bombe GREEN MARBLE TOP

In Malta. A desirable cute mini-commode made as a bedside. French Bombe / bellied shape. With kingwood or similar veneer [ possibly olive ] , and green natural marble. Cast fake-ormolu colour and shaped metal pulls and corner trim. Small. Made circa 1950. This table is French 18th century style ; it was made in Italy or more likely Egypt in a furnishings factory. In Malta this type of furniture is called ‘ Alexandria ‘ furniture as its origin is unknown.
