19 th c. porcelain HAND PAINTED Italian Naples Neapolitan REAL GOLD LEAF framed grand tour memento
In Malta. A mid 19th century porcelain hand painted plate, with exquisite detail ,and gilded trim on rim of plate. The case is a wooden display frame with fine crisp carved wood and gesso; with real gold water gilding. The detail of the frame including spandrels and other classical trim are far above average. Historical worm. No observed chips to plate. Plate depicts Neapolitan terrace with musician serenading. The background showing possibly an early Villa Pallazzo Donn’ Anna on Posillipo beach? a semi-capriccio view.
